The area of Manhattan in the United States will soon get a new landmark that is named, “Vessel”. Announced by the Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, the landmark was designed by Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio.
Vessel is a building as tall as 150 feet. The vessel will have a 2,400 stairs with 154 interconnection and 80 landings. The building has a diameter of 50 feet at the base and extended at the top being 150 feet. The building will offer a new way to enjoy the sights of New York City, Hudson Yards, or other parts of the city.
As for how it looks, the Vessel was built with structural frame of iron and in steel by coated bottom copper-colored. Today, parts of the Middle building is manufactured in Italy and will be opened in Manhattan in 2018.
